The Girls’ Brigade Motto is:

“Seek, Serve and Follow Christ”

We follow a badge system.   There are many varied subjects under these headings and we try to make it fun and interesting for the girls.

We also award attendance badges to girls who have attended GB regularly and Church attendance badges to those who also attend Church or Sunday School/Junior Church.  Badges are awarded on badge night, usually in July, when parents and friends are invited.

We normally attend three parade services each year: Harvest Parade in September, Remembrance Parade in November at St Mary’s Church and our Enrolment Parade in the Spring.  Parents and friends are invited to join us for these services.

Other events

We have organised events in the past to wildlife parks, pantos, ice shows, ten pin bowling, Wandlebury, the Pelham Centre,  town trails and Christmas productions.  We hold fund-raising events to raise money for various charities and have supported the Christmas Child shoebox appeal for some years. We usually book a stall in the town on the late night shopping evening to raise money for our own funds.

We aim to give the girls a wide variety of activities including games, cooking, sewing, discussions, dancing, singing, drama and worship.
